The Beginning Here's something you don't see every day - a very rare tape titled "The Beginning" that Hanson released in 1993. Five songs on one side, seven songs on the other. The reverse side says "The Hanson Bros." and has their address and phone number on the back. |

Underneath - Malaysia Underneath was actually released in cassette form overseas. Here is the Malaysian version. It has the same 13 tracks as the US release. It was released by Sony Music, as most Hanson releases are in Asian countries. |

Middle of Nowhere - Promo Very rare Middle of Nowhere cassette promo. Notice that track six is titled "Yearbook Song", and after Man From Milwaukee, it says, "This will be a bonus track on CD only." Even more interesting is that this version of Man From Milwaukee has an alternate ending - after the last symbol crash, someone (Isaac?) does a seconds-long Elvis impersonation. Don't believe me? Here's a clip of the recording. For reasons unknown, the clip was cut for the final version. |

Middle of Nowhere - Peru?
I have a lot of questions about this cassette. (1) Geffen Records? I have never seen any Hanson CD or cassette pressed by Geffen Records. (2) The track listing is out of order. (3) The cassette looks like an everyday blank cassette. These signs point to a bootleg. But to its credit, the cassette slipcover is made of think cardboard-like material - it is not flimsy and if it is a fake, it's a good fake. But the cassette...I have my doubts. |
