Middle of Nowhere (MON) was Hanson's first major-label release. The album was released by Mercury Records in the US on May 6, 1997,and went on to sell over 8 million copies worldwide. MON peaked at #2 on the Billboard Charts. This album has the most varied releases - both retail and promo - of any other release to date.

	United States - also Canada, the UK/England, Australia # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: May 6, 1997 Standard, 13-track CD. The CD version of Middle of Nowhere includes the bonus track, Man From Milwaukee, while the cassette version did not include the bonus track.
	UK/Germany # 314 534 615-2 11 Release Date: June 9, 1997 Alternate UK & German cover, same tracks as US CD.
	France # 314-534-615-2 Release Date: 1997 French version of Middle of Nowhere with rare sticker on the front.
	France # 314-534-615-2 Release Date: 1997 Rare French version of Middle of Nowhere - this edition comes with a cool OBI strip. Notice that "Weird" is spelled "Wierd" on the back of the OBI strip! This CD also comes with 6 foil Hanson stickers - the same Hanson stickers that are packaged with the Japanese version of Middle of Nowhere. This CD has the normal 13 tracks. A different French edition below comes with three additional bonus tracks.
	France # 314-536-887-2 Release Date: 1997 The French release includes three bonus tracks. 	Brazil # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: 1997 Brazil release with red "incluindo o sucesso mmmbop" sticker.
	Brazil # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: ? Mercury Records / Polygram released Middle of Nowhere in Brazil as a part of "The Sound of the 20th Century" Collection ("O Som do S?culo XX", as is written on the front cover). The CD has the same tracks - only the front cover art is different.
	Mexico # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: 1997 Unique Mexican cardboard slipcase release.
	Japan # PHCR-1530 Release Date: July 9, 1997 Japanese release with sticker booklet (front), original lyric booklet, and Japanese lyric booklet. Extra bonus track: MMMBop (Berman Bros. Mix)
	Taiwan # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: 1997 Unique release, one of my favorites! Includes a poster, postcards, and stickers.
	Taiwan # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: 1997 A rarer release from Taiwan. 13 tracks, has a few paragraph blurbs on the back cover in Taiwanese describing the band.
	China # 314 534 615-2 Release Date: 1997 Official Chinese release with different back cover art & CD art not seen on any other release!
	Middle of Nowhere Acoustic - US # 10703 Release Date: 2007 In May of 2007, Hanson rerecorded Middle of Nowhere for Hanson.net fanclub members. They dubbed the session "Middle of Nowhere Acoustic" and released a CD/DVD set exclusively on Hanson.net in December of 2007. The set comes in a DVD case with the retro Hanson logo and orange/yellow colors. Even the audio CD is MON orange-and-silver, and the DVD is the reverse colors. The set includes special recordings of MMMBop, Weird, Lucy, Madeline, the never-before-performed Yearbook, and several other favorites from Middle of Nowhere. CD/DVD Tracks: 1. MMMBop 2. 	Middle of Nowhere Acoustic Anniversary Edition - US Release Date: 2017 10 years after the release of Middle of Nowhere Acoustic and 20 years after the release of Middle of Nohwere, Hanson released a special anniversary edition of Middle of Nowhere Acoustic with new cover art and a fold-out poster. The CD/DVD content is the same as the original release.

	UK (?) Promo # ? One of the rarest Hanson CDs in existance. No one knows much about this elusive MON CD. A limited amount of US/UK MMMBop CD singles have this cover on the back but it was later switched to the familiar orange/yellow cover. This CD may have had a limited printing in the UK. 	Canada - Promo # No Catalog Number One of the first full-length promo CDs to surface - this promo from Canada actually has a 1996 copyright.
	United States - Promo # 314-534-615-2AD Similiar to the Canadian promo, except this CD back cover is black instead of white, and the text and track listing are in reverse order.
	United States - Promo # MECD 124 Interesting promo titled "Hanson: Featuring MMMBop and Other Selections from Middle of Nowhere." The CD has five tracks, including the rare Dust Brothers Mix of Thinking of You, only seen here and on a UK Thinking of You single. Tracks: 1. MMMBop (Dust Brothers Mix) 2. Very rare Chinese release. The CD case is housed in a unique cardboard box. The CD is a unique picture disc, and the lyric booklet has a different layout than any other release. A rare find!
