Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson's fifth album since their 1997 breakthrough is entirely self-written and self-produced, and aside from some bass lines and horn riffs, it's all self-played. ...on effusive tracks like "Thinking 'Bout Somethin'," Tulsa's favorite siblings simply sound liberated. --Rolling Stone
Shout It Out is Hanson's follow-up to 2007's The Walk. Like Hanson's 2000 album This Time Around, Shout It Out was penned entirely by Hanson with no writing collaborations. However, Hanson invited bassist Bob Babbitt and horn arranger Jerry Hey to add their unique and uplifting sound to several tracks on the album.
After Hanson struggled to release Underneath in 2004, followed by the powerful humanitarian efforts that came with The Walk, it is nice to see Hanson release an upbeat, fun, and enjoyable album such as this. Looking for the iTunes release? It's in the iTunes section.
