Shout It Out is Hanson's follow-up to 2007's The Walk. Like Hanson's 2000 album This Time Around, Shout It Out was penned entirely by Hanson with no writing collaborations. However, Hanson invited bassist Bob Babbitt and horn arranger Jerry Hey to add their unique and uplifting sound to several tracks on the album.

After Hanson struggled to release Underneath in 2004, followed by the powerful humanitarian efforts that came with The Walk, it is nice to see Hanson release an upbeat, fun, and enjoyable album such as this.

	United States #818-611-001-2 #260-027-217-5 Release Date: June 8, 2010 Standard US release, 12 tracks. Interestingly, the album has a barcode sticker with a different barcode number (818) than what is printed on the back cover of the CD (260). Oversight? Misprint? There is no barcode number on the spine or on the CD itself.
	Japan #VICP-64852 Release Date: July 14, 2010 Japanese edition of Shout It Out. The album has one bonus track, an Isaac lead! Bonus Track: Make It Through Today
	UK #VICP-64852 Release Date: June 6, 2011 UK release of Shout It Out which includes a 'Best of 5' DVD. The CD case is unlike any other that I have ever seen - it is not a plastic CD case, it is hard and thick like a hardcover book, and it opens like a book with the CD in the inside cover flap, the booklet, and the DVD on the back cover flap. Very cool!
	Philippines CD Count: 2 Release Date: March 24, 2012 Exclusive Philippines release of Shout It Out, including a special CD/DVD combo pack for "The Best of 5", the only country to release "The Best of 5" with its own packaging.
	Canada Release Date: April 3, 2012 Canadian release of Shout It out, slated for April 3, 2012 release. The CD will also include "The Best of 5" DVD.
